Dorothy is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where she majored in sculpture and textile design. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association in 1979, and to the Art Dealers Association of America in 1985. She served as President of the Santa Monica/Venice Art Dealers Association from 1988-1990. She was the Chairwoman for ArtTable, Southern California Chapter for two years and co-chaired their first National Conference held at the Getty Center in 1998.
Dorothy has been a guest speaker on the arts since 1975. She developed a unique course on the professional art world and career management for artists which was presented at the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
Using her office in Santa Monica as a base, Dorothy travels internationally to keep abreast of exhibitions and significant events throughout the art world. From London to Beijing , from the Basel Art Fair to the latest museum opening, Dorothy gathers information and insight to benefit clients and to maintain the highest level of exposure to the constantly evolving art scene.
