What we love of Curry’s exhibition is the clear continuity from the past that inpired him and the future he is creating. Art doesn’t grow in vacuum, but rises from the past.

FIAC has come into its own and will become a growing force. The Fair included more international galleries this year, yet it’s size was very manageable. The Grand Palais, which held the main fair, was spacious and beautiful, a refined environment for presenting and viewing the work. Business was steady for quality works such as two Basquiats sold by New York dealer Van de Weghe. David Zwirner sold out his show of Adel Abdessemed. I had the same feeling about the Artist’s Museum Show although walking through it was fun and like going to a party and seeing all your friends. And now I can’t wait to go to Milwulkee. Best to you and welcome back.—jrg

Always wonderful to get your mail. Loved hearing about FIAC and your take on local as well.
Busy with my exhibition, but as soon as things calm for a moment, maybe we can get together after the first of the year.
Best regards as always,
Lois
